Overview:
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & HR Administrator to support both financial operations and human resources functions. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting and a general understanding of HR best practices. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
Manage daily accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
Support monthly and year-end financial reporting in collaboration with external accountants
Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate documentation and filing
Monitor compliance with tax, audit, and reporting requirements
Reconcile key accounts including credit cards, benefits, and bank statements
Human Resources
Assist with employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining personnel records
Manage payroll-related inquiries, benefits administration, and workers' compensation compliance
Maintain and update the employee handbook and related HR policies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Support recruiting and background check processes
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Accounting or HR support role
Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration
Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
